Key Responsibilities:

The Regional IT Director is a highly strategic role acting as the liaison and primary single point of contact (SPOC) between the IT department and regional business units. They are accountable for all technology-related matters in their region. The purpose of this position is to proactively engage with business units, understand their strategic priorities, and align IT services and products to deliver business objectives and enable efficient and effective operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Engagement: Leverage business acumen and technology expertise to proactively reach out to business partners, propose solutions, address issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and ensure IT services and products meet those needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Implement IT strategies that align with and support the business’s goals and objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
  • Change Management: Facilitate the adoption of new technologies, managing resistance, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential IT risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Budgeting: Participate in the development and management of the IT budget.
  • Innovation and Digital Effectiveness: Drive initiatives to enhance digital capabilities, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and foster a culture of innovation. Collaborate with business units to leverage technology advancements and implement best practices.

The Regional IT Director harmonizes IT and business strategies, ensuring technology investments deliver maximum value. They must have a deep understanding of both business and technology, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead and influence others. This role is critical to the organization’s success in the digital age.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Required Professional Experience

  • Requires experience in managing teams and building relationships with people at a variety of levels.
  • Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with knowledge of one process/service.
  • A good understanding of business strategy and be able align IT services with the strategic priorities of the business, ensuring that technology investments support business objectives.
  • Effective communication for engaging with business leaders, articulating IT strategies, and ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all stakeholders.
  • The ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals to drive long-term success and ensuring that IT initiatives support the overall direction of the organization.
  • Experience in leading IT projects ensures that initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements, which is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and achieving strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership skill to inspire and guide IT teams, foster collaboration, and drive the adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
