Chadiza Town Council wishes to inform the General Public that in the bid to serve the community better, we seek to engage the services of a suitably qualified individual for the under listed vacant positions.
JOB TITLE: ROLLER OPERATOR, LGSS 14 (1)
Job Purpose and Principle Accountabilities
a. To undertake the operation of the roller along a road in order to compact earth fills, subgrade, flexible base, and bituminous surface to various construction.
b. Undertake effectively the specifications and preparatory to construction of highways, streets, and
runways in order to enhance accessibility to facilities.
e. Reporting malfunctioning equipment or components with defects to supervisors such as the moving levers, pushing pedals, or turning valves to control equipment.
d. Cleaning up and maintaining roller and other equipment, as well as making basic repair as necessary.
Main Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Trade Tested Certificate in Roller Operation
- Valid Driver’s License Minimum Class TE/C added advantage
- Between the age of 25 and 45
- Craft Certificate in Heavy duty Mechanics will be an added advantage
- Sober minded
- No criminal record
- Residents of Chadiza are encouraged to apply
