Job Overview

Yalelo is seeking a Security and Compliance Team Lead. The Security and Compliance Team Lead will ensure the safety of the organization’s assets, personnel, and information. This role involves managing a team of security and compliance auditors, managing security personnel, implementing security strategies, auditing processes and transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Planning and Management
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and policies to protect assets, personnel, and information.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and maintain emergency response plans, such as evacuations during emergencies.
  • Security Operations Management
  • Manage and supervise security personnel, including recruiting, training, and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
  • Oversee access control for buildings and restricted areas.
  • Monitor and manage Control Room operations, shift activity, and site stock loss prevention across Distribution Centers, warehouses, and offsite zones
  • Risk Mitigation & Incident Response
  • Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments and follow up on mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and external security vendors.
  • Transaction Auditing & Compliance
  • Audit processes and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Utilize financial software for transaction analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.
  • Employee Training & Education
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee security awareness and adherence to policies.
  • Conduct weekly operational briefings and daily supervision to enforce SOP compliance.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Complete detailed reports on observations, incidents, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, schedules, and operational data.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in FMCG.
  • Account experience in audit and compliance is an added advantage.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Proven experience of leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience in planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
  • Familiarity with implementing and monitoring control procedures.

Qualifications

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate verified by ZAQA
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a similar discipline verified by ZAQA

  • Proficiency in Audit Software and Microsoft Office
