Job Overview
Yalelo is seeking a Security and Compliance Team Lead. The Security and Compliance Team Lead will ensure the safety of the organization’s assets, personnel, and information. This role involves managing a team of security and compliance auditors, managing security personnel, implementing security strategies, auditing processes and transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Planning and Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and policies to protect assets, personnel, and information.
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and maintain emergency response plans, such as evacuations during emergencies.
- Security Operations Management
- Manage and supervise security personnel, including recruiting, training, and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
- Oversee access control for buildings and restricted areas.
- Monitor and manage Control Room operations, shift activity, and site stock loss prevention across Distribution Centers, warehouses, and offsite zones
- Risk Mitigation & Incident Response
- Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments and follow up on mitigation efforts.
- Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and external security vendors.
- Transaction Auditing & Compliance
- Audit processes and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Utilize financial software for transaction analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.
- Employee Training & Education
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee security awareness and adherence to policies.
- Conduct weekly operational briefings and daily supervision to enforce SOP compliance.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Complete detailed reports on observations, incidents, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, schedules, and operational data.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in FMCG.
- Account experience in audit and compliance is an added advantage.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience of leadership
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
- Familiarity with implementing and monitoring control procedures.
Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 Certificate verified by ZAQA
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a similar discipline verified by ZAQA
