Health Professions Council of Zambia

The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) is a statutory regulatory body under the Ministry of Health with obligations to regulate the registration of health facilities and health practitioners as well as maintaining optimal standards of competence, care and professional conduct. It was established under the Health Professions Act No. 24 of 2009.

The mission of the Health Professions Council of Zambia is to safeguard the quality of healthcare services by regulating and monitoring the professional conduct of Health practitioners, Health facilities and Training Institutions offering HPCZ approved training programmes, HPCZ seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following positions:


Job Profile:

To ensure that the office premises and property are effectively guarded in order to facilitate a conducive and secured working environment.

Main Duties:

  • Ensures that the Council premises and property are adequately secured.
  • Supervises the provision of security services in order to prevent crime and loss of property and life.
  • Provides regular security and surveillance reports to management in order to facilitate decision making.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting suspicious behaviour.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel on matters of security.
  • Supervises the Monitoring of public access to the Council premises and ensuring the security of all premises, personnel and visitors.
  • Conducting Investigations of suspicious behaviour, incidents, and security breaches.

Reporting relationship:

Reports to the Manager-Human Resource and Administration

Knowledge and Work Experience:

  • Full Grade 12/ Form V School Certificate
  • Diploma in any Social Science or Security & Safety Certificate in Security related Courses
  • Three (03) year’s working experience

  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Negotiation Skills;
  • Report Writing Skills;
  • Interpersonal Skills; and
  • Communication Skills.
