CAREER OPPORTUNITY – ENGINEER CIVIL SENIOR ASSISTANT

The Company Seeks the Services of a Senior Assistant Civil Engineer x 1
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Carry out proper and vigorous selection of qualified and efficient civil engineering contractors.
• Ensure contractors’ adherence to administrative procedures, mining and safety regulations.
• Ensure timely completion of all civil projects and enforce good quality work as per tender contractual requirements.
• Maintain high standard of discipline of subordinates and the section as a whole.
• Ensure that all items are safely maintained and functioning according to engineering procedures.
• Carry out regular visits to sites.
• Assist with training of trainees and Technicians.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Member of EIZ
• Computer Literate.
• Good Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Autocad and Civil Engineering/Construction.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in mining industry.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
