Job Purpose
The Senior Sales Executive’s primary responsibility will be to sell the diverse lineup of Commercial Trucks & Forklifts, demonstrating their unmatched quality and performance to potential clients. Play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing customer relationships, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and collaborating with various teams across the business.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Work with existing accounts to grow revenue and market share in national markets
- Ensure all work is performed according to approved procedures, standards, and specifications for sales objectives
- Remain abreast of the truck and forklift markets and competition to provide comprehensive market intelligence to Management to support decision-making.
- May work in a team approach and assist commissioned sales positions with territory management and communication
- Provide input into the planning of sales targets for Trucks and Forklift brands, growth and profitability targets, and targets for customer interaction.
- Participate in both training activities both locally, in the field and occasionally at the headquarters in Lusaka
- Work within various departments within the branch to understand their function and objectives with particular focus on activities related to the position for which they are training
- Ensure creation and utilisation of point-of-sale material to be used in interacting with all prospect and existing customers, and the market in general.
- Develop and maintain customer business relationships through cold calling, telephone prospecting, direct mailers, line cards/fliers
- Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their heavy duty truck parts questions and needs, either in person, via the telephone, or through online ordering
- Hold Sales Meetings and monthly 1-2-1 review meetings to include discussion on prospects, activity, quotes, conversion rates
- Interact with all decisionmakers and influencers at all customers and ensure offer and proposal is in line with customer needs and expectations, which must be clearly clarified
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through frequent customer contact throughout the lifecycle of the vehicles sold to ensure an above average experience with the brand and Company
- Support the establishment of marketing communication plans (internal and external) that will ensure awareness and recognition of Company’s ’s involvement in Equipment business in general.
- Proper Expense Control and adherence to company policies applicable to laptops, mobile phones, use of company vehicles, etc.
- Maximise retention of customer’s vehicles for servicing and parts purchases.
- Managing and growing a customer base to achieve sales targets through strategic sales and marketing efforts, regular customer reviews and proactive measures.
- Ability to adapt or amend strategy depending on market conditions and changes to Trucks product and services.
- Contribute to the region’s requirements to proactively manage cost and credit control in order to maximise the opportunity to grow profit.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Business / Engineering or any aligned discipline
- Must have at least a minimum of 5+ years’ work experience in sales and marketing of Trucks / Commercial Vehicle / Forklift
- Currently or previously working as a Commercial Truck Sales Executive would be a plus need to ideally have previous. experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry (but this is not essential).
- Must have strong people management/relationship skills.
- Must have proven experience in developing and implementing sales plans which promote new and repeat business.
