Chloride Zambia Limited seeks to employ a Systems Administrator and a Solar Sales & Industrial Mining Technician to start work immediately. The positions will be based in Lusaka.
1) Systems Administrator
Purpose
To effectively manage the company’s Management Information Systems (MIS).
- To effectively install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
- Ensuring that the system hardware, operating/software systems, and related procedures adhere to organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new/reconfigure existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, directories, storage, in accordance with IT ART standards.
- Develop and maintain system standards.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as daily back-ups.
- Create changes and delete user accounts as requested for both Enterprise Resource Planner and Email Servers.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures, coordinate and communicate with impacted user departments.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and configure or add new services as necessary.
- Perform backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up to data tapes, recovery tapes are created, data tapes are recycled, and sent for off-site safe keeping after month end.
Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum degree in IT Systems or equivalent from a recognised University
- Knowledge in SAGE X3 Systems
- At least 2 years work experience
- All qualifications must be validated by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
- Membership with the appropriate body.

2) Solar Sales and Industrial Mining Technician
Purpose
- To design and install solar solutions.
- To understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- To drive the sales in solar energy and promote industrial mining equipment to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the industrial mining and solar sectors.
- Conduct consultations to understand customer energy needs and present customized solar proposals.
- Identify and target potential clients within the agricultural, mining industry, individuals, and related businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate clients on the features and benefits of our industrial mining equipment and solar solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to customize solutions based on client needs and requirements.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with clients to close sales and achieve revenue targets while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Provide feedback regarding client needs and market demand.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market research findings.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Advanced diploma in electrical/technical studies, or a related field. A degree will be an added advantage.
- 2 years experience in solar energy and industrial mining equipment.
- All qualifications must be validated by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
- Membership with the appropriate body.
