The Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation (MGIC), an international non-profit affiliate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), works to strengthen health systems and reduce the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS in operational areas. Currently, MGIC has a presence and offices in six countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zambia. MGIC is also locally registered in Zambia as an International Company.

Job Summary   

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Finance to support our audit and documentation processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting or finance and will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to maintaining our audit compliance and documentation integrity. This role is crucial for ensuring that our audit documentation is accurately uploaded, preliminary analyses are conducted, audit preparations are thorough, and file management is secure and organized.

Scope of Work:

Uploading Documentation for OIG Audit:

  • Complete the upload of all remaining documentation required for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) audit.

Preliminary Analysis:

  • Conduct preliminary analysis involving data collection, initial review, and report preparation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all relevant data is accurately analyzed and presented.

Preparation for Audit:

  • Begin organizing and preparing folders for the audit.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are collected, categorized, and ready for the upcoming audit process.

File Management:

  • Move all audited files to the designated storage space.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure secure handling of sensitive information.

Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Partly qualified as licentiate of ZICA/CIMA/ACCA. or a related field.
  • Coursework in auditing, financial analysis, and accounting principles.
  • Registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with audit processes and documentation management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and preliminary reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Language:

  •  Fluency in English, both written and oral.
