Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our workshop, which specializes in hydraulic pumps motors & cylinder repairs and bucket manufacturing & repairs. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, maintain high standards of quality, and lead a team of technicians to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of technicians and support staff.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work tasks to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of services.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, provide feedback, and address any issues.

Technical Oversight:

  • Supervise and participate in the repair, maintenance, and manufacturing processes. Bill of quantities for relevant works, material & consumables.
  • Ensure all repairs and manufacturing activities meet industry standards and quality specifications.
  • Troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems and provide technical guidance to the team.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Implement and maintain best practices to optimize workshop operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary materials and parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repair and manufacturing activities.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety training and ensure the workshop environment is safe for all employees.

Customer Relations:

  • Interface with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on hydraulic repairs and custom bucket manufacturing.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality services and timely solutions.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinder repairs, and bucket manufacturing processes.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical acumen.
  • Proficient in using workshop tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
