Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
- The document controller is responsible for updating and organising all documents and processes and guarantees they are accessible to the team.
- Liaise documentation of construction records, as-builts, drafts, HSE, Etc.
Specific Job Responsibility
- Provide organisation and control of the construction documentation during the execution of the works.
- Track and report continuous improvement activities to deliver improved operational performance.
- Organize and Archive Documents. This may involve scanning, copying, physically or electronically filing, organising, and ensuring that documents are saved and safeguarded from theft or destruction.
- Planned, controlled and directed the document control functions for a mining study.
- Organized and reviewed project deliverables with the engineering team and monitors quality to ensure all documents conform to established standards and procedures.
- Trained project personnel in automation tools and document control procedures.
- Created and implemented processes within the project.
- Directly supported Contracts process and reviewed invoices.
- Prepared documents for project closeout.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Civil engineer TSF.

Experience required to perform in this job
- Ability to produce new and maintain existing AutoCAD files of plans, develop standards for AutoCAD drawings, run prints and interact with other departments within the company.
- Domain of Microsoft Office.
- Strong team-oriented skills
Qualifications
- 2+ Years of Data and document controller experience.
- Experience with CAD software applications and/or drawing packages are regarded.
- Minimum of 5 passes in Grade12
- ZAQA certified qualifications
